So, said article is actually really interesting as it discusses a bill that Hansen Clarke is trying to push through– dubbed the Detroit Jobs Trust Fund Act, it would create a fund, a monstrous one in fact at roughly $2 billion, to help the city pay off debt, develop jobs, improve public services and put some concentrated investment in the education system. Pretty big deal. Money for the fund would come from all the federal taxes Detroit collects over five years.
